She might be a tiny, rampaging Viking

Toddler Flails-a-lot has been home since last week with a slight runny nose (now cough) I've successfully managed to keep low-key. The side effect of this is that she feels good. Not really sick. At all. She's having a wonderful time. She may have the floorboards up if she keeps up this level of activity.

  1. Ack, this is an again after phone ate carefully pecked comment. My friend wa surprised when the doctor finally conceded that her five year olsd had allergies and prescribed Cetrizine which is Zirtec. My son's been on the stuff since he was three for seasonal allergies. Her poor daughter has the drip that goes down into her lungs and then she has to endure a "breathing treatment". Huffing oxygen. All for the sake of allergies. I beg you to concede to this possibility and dose her and see if the runny nose doesn't subside. That is provided you can get a medicine cup worth of goo down her gullet. Better living through pharmecuticals.

    1. Oh yeah, love the chemicals! We've been dosing her with Claritin as part of our illness strategy since the summer's begun. Very lucky the runniness seems to be over, just a terrible sounding cough...but she only coughs like 5 times a day. Much better than previous iterations of illness. I'm very excited for summer colds if they will be like this instead of the monsters of winter past.
