Average?! Bahahahhaha

Asthma bronchitis is back in our lives like a drunk uncle who doesn't tell you he's coming to barbeque but the meat hits the grill and voila(!) there he is. Toddler Flails-a-lot held out most of the week before succumbing. Husband-cat and I held out until Saturday. We have garden variety crap illness while she has the super special terrifying coughing fits. For the first time ever she coughed until she threw up. Twice! That was...awesome.

Sadly, we have an ever growing list of local emergency rooms and urgent care facilities. This gave us a chance to try out a new urgent care office and that went pretty well so we have a new weekend doctor's office to add to our collection. I read somewhere the average toddler gets sick 6-8 times a year. We're above average at every single month. Wait, that might be me....no, that's her. I was sick twice in January and February. My record for March is looking up because this has only been quasi-debilitating.

In a pathetic sign of life, I even cleaned the shit out of the kitchen today. I felt like such a fucking rock star I decided to battle all the dust bunnies around our house. That was a bit a of a stretch on my part. Do you ever get those grandiose cleaning plans because one room sparkles so you decide that your house is your bitch and you cleaning every-damn-thing? Yeah, that was me. Everything went well for about ten minutes. Then I fell down in a swoon on the filthy carpet and decided the house was fine the way it was. The dust bunnies nibbled my toes, but I pretended I didn't see them.

  1. I feel happy, I feel happy. But not about sick babies and mommies. When I say I've been there, We were short the asthma factor. But I remember the scary sicks.
In a cleaning fit of helplessness, my mother broke a mirror in my sick room once. Cursed me. I'm wishing you resolve and courage to get in front of this and make a plan.
    Love,

  2. Uh... I almost never feel like cleaning, unless I have a paper due... then I feel like cleaning, rearranging furniture and making really complicated recipes ...

Hope you all feel better soon ... and start googling immunity boosters and add them in immediately.

    Maybe start with oregano oil...

    1. I felt worse today, but she felt better so I'm taking that as a win!

I need a deadline now to motivate me. Maybe taxes...
