Food anti-porn

No post today as we are on the road to sunny rainy and boiling hot Sacramento to spend the day with Afrodite and mate. Will be visiting Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates and bringing home much food porn which I may share if Husband-cat and I don't eat it all on the drive home.

Please enjoy these disgusting food sculptures in absence of a post today.

Someday I will totally horrify, er, surprise Husband-cat and Baby Flails-a-lot with a breakfast buffet filled with faces.

  1. Um...this is the kind of artifact that had generations believing that housewives didn't have enough to do to keep them busy at home.

Though, I wonder if we analyzed these "sculptures" from another vantage point, if we might find they are some kind of therapy ...

In any case, wondering what you know about chocolate in Cologne, Germany. Apparently they have a chocolate museum ... I read a few reviews, and I can't tell if it's good chocolate or just a lot of chocolate.

Also, got any hints for us in Italy as to where to eat chocolate? And, what do you want me to bring you?!

    1. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! You're going to make my head explode! Italian chocolate!! Me want Amedei - blend, chuao, anything but especially dark choc with almonds which I can't find any where in the States. I'll hunt up my Italy list.

Don't know much about the Cologne museum, but I think you should go. From what I can see it's pretty cutting edge in terms of being gigantic and having a rainforest and all. At a guess, the general level of chocolate is going to so much higher than here that you should be pretty safe to find something worthy.

As for these disgusting food sculptures, I see a lot repressed creative ambition and intelligence when I look at them. No doubt they were designed by women completely under-stimulated by their roles as housewives and SAHMs. Kids are great but the non-kid tasks can fucking kill your spirit. (More laundry!? Again? Didn't I do laundry yesterday? Who is taking all my clothes and hiding them so I have to rewash the same five shirts!?)
