Nature vs. Cature?

We have an ungrateful, uncertain-tempered beast in our household. I speak, of course, of She Who Must Be Obeyed a.k.a. The Mandy. She is furry and surly, and frequently takes offense at our lack of lap, and views her tail as something which MUST BE DESTROYED. We often debate whether her eternal disgust is due to nature or nurture. We inherited the cat from Gramma Madness at the ripe old age of 13, which is a billion years old in cat time. Gramma Madness, not the most pleasant person to begin with, had Alzheimer's by the time we got the cat. She was probably a pretty unfun owner by that point – although be fair, I think she fed the feline every five minutes, and that part might have been fun. We've always assumed The Mandy was nuts because Grandma drove her crazy, but recently we've found photographic evidence that this may not have been the case:
She Who Must Be Obeyed, the teenage years. These pics are definitive proof that while she may not have started out insane, she was always angry. Bow down, mortals!
